This course explains the opportunities and risks inherent in the mapping process and discusses the issues that need to be considered in the development, maintenance and use of mapping in health care. You will learn to identify the variations in process, precision and administration required for mapping for different purposes and in different environments. The course is based upon the ISO Technical Report 12300 Mapping of Terminologies to Classifications.
