Description
This is a full postgraduate unit of study which provides a framework within which any national or regional health system can be defined including capital and service infrastructures, funding mechanisms, workforce and statistical data collection methods, and supply chain aspects. It compliments knowledge and skills acquired from undertaking previous foundation units. Students will acquire the skills and techniques required to apply problem solving skills using a computational thinking process. This unit focuses on structural aspects relative to desirable health IT infra- and info-structures.
At the completion of this section you should be able to:
- Identify and and describe your National Health System structure.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the critical factors supporting sustainability.
- Explain how a digital environment is best able to provide the evidence required for policy development, implementation and evaluation.
