Using ICD 10 AM data
Understand the key information which impacts the meaning of data coded using ICD-10-AM
Who should do this course?
Researchers, decision makers, insurers and payers all need to understand what the ICD data they use actually means and the rules and standards which impact this data.
How will I benefit?
At completion of this course you should be able to:
- Define the use cases where ICD-10 is the best suited classification system
- Understand where to find details to explain the meaning of each code in different versions of ICD-10.
How long will this take?
Most people complete this course in 3 hours, plus 1 hour for the assessment, if you choose to undertake it. You do not need a copy of ICD-10 code books for this course, though you may need them if assessing the meaning of codes you use.
